Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is second only to skin cancer
as the most common types of cancer among men. The prostate is a male sex organ. It's the size of
a walnut and produces the thick fluid in semen.

When more cell division takes place than is normal,
a tumor can occur. A prostate tumor can be either benign or malignant. Malignant tumors are cancerous and can invade and destroy healthy cells in the surrounding area. Although usually slow growing and remaining encapsulated in the tough covering of the prostate, cancerous tumors can eventually grow beyond their original area and metastasize or seed surrounding tissue with new tumor cells and bring cancer to other regions of the body.
